West meets East
Today, We learned the topic of “West meets
East”.
The teacher stared class
with PowerPoint showed pictures for discussed how different Western culture and
Eastern culture in order to motivate learning in the classroom. Then the
teacher let us discuss about culture which we must learned in this
class

After that she gave us the handout for learned and did
exercises. She
taught new lesson "Asianization" of the United
States .She let us skim and scan the text without opening dictionary and
discuss with partner in Thai.

After that, the teacher let us read again carefully. She
explained and questioned. Next, she used PowerPoint to show the
picture of culture again for comprehending.
We read and did exercise. The
teacher explained text again and checked the exercises. Last, she gave us
an assignment to do exercise in this unite. Next week we don't have class
because she was busy.
My attitude towards this week I feel worried in something but the teacher was trying to teach slowly, so that we understood and to do activities to relieve stress.
This lesson made me know that there were many things that I still don't know about their culture. In this week I used my scanning, skimming skills, guessed vocabulary that difficult to read the text. And I got know many new vocabulary in this lesson such as mainstream, integrate, skeptical etc.
